Terms of service
Last updated: 25 October 2026
1. The service
Consumer Buddy for Business is software for tracking consumer complaints and legal notices and drafting replies to them. It is a drafting aid: it is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Your legal team or counsel reviews, signs and files every document and remains responsible for its content.
2. Accounts and access
Your organisation's administrators decide who may use the service, including any external counsel they invite. You are responsible for your users' activity and for keeping access limited to people who need it.
3. Your data
You own the documents, facts, templates and drafts you put into or produce with the service. We use them only to provide the service to you; they are not used to train AI models and are never shared with other customers or with the Consumer Buddy consumer product. Our privacy policy describes how data is stored and protected.
4. Plans and billing
Plans are priced by case volume for a monthly, quarterly or annual term, as set out in your order. A case counts towards your plan once a draft is generated for it; logging and tracking cases is free. Cases beyond your plan are billed at the overage rate in your order. Fees are exclusive of GST, which is added where applicable.
5. Acceptable use
Use the service only for your organisation's own legal work and in accordance with law. Do not attempt to access other customers' data, disrupt the service, or upload content you have no right to use.
6. Intellectual property
We own the software and its improvements. You own your inputs and the drafts produced for you, and may use them without restriction.
7. Liability
The service is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the outcome of any proceeding or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Term and termination
Either party may end the subscription at the end of a billing term. On termination you can export your data, after which it is deleted as described in the privacy policy.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India and subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
10. Changes and contact
We will notify administrators of material changes before they take effect. Questions: contact@consumerbuddy.in.
